Happy New Year to you all. The first meeting of the house group has taken place and the topic of conversation was Grace. My friend Eddie from Renfield St Stephen's came down for the first meeting aud a good discussion was had by all. A big thank you to Sheila MacKinnon and Fiona Lyon for turning up. The next meeting is to be on 30th January at 7.30pm.

As a new year begins we pray that God gives us the strength to cope with all that is ahead and for courage to face each new challenge afresh.

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints,to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. To know that love surpasses knowledge- that you may be fIlled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

When we don't understand why, I trust Him because .... God can lift us up to soar above the storms in our lives .

Trust God when it's your heart that's broken .... I have learnt to love the darkness of sorrow, there you see the brightness of His face.

Please pray for Johnston and his family now that he has made the decision to retire. He took a broken church and made it whole again and for that may God hold him in the palm of his hand.

Please pray for the wider church and its peoples that they may know peace and pleasure in worship.

Please pray for each other in our church family and give each other the strength and the courage to face each new day with a smile and a hug.

Yours in the peace of Christ .
