4 new episodes for Amazon Heartbeat

Starting on Tuesday 6th May 2008 at 11pm, STV will be broadcasting 4 new episodes of the Amazon Heartbeat series. These should focus more on the plight of the streetchildren.

Scots have transformed our lives with visionary thinking. And for every big idea, there was the humblest beginning. In July 2006, Stuart McMahon and David Young from Barony St John's Church, along with 25 other volunteers, went as volunteers with the Vine Trust to Peru and witnessed many sights including the arrival of Amazon Hope 2.

STV commissioned Glasgow Films to produce a captivating new documentary series, Amazon Heartbeat, which follows a group of adventurers, pioneers and medical volunteers working on two medical boats in one of the remotest and hostile parts of the planet, Amazonia.
